Rethinking educational approaches to include and honour Indigenous knowledge and perspectives with Madeline Wilson Shaw.
This is a recording of a hybrid session held on January 30, 2025, at NYCH, 255 Ranee Ave. Suites, 4 & 5 and Online.
Madeline Wilson Shaw is a proud Mohawk woman who has reclaimed her Indigenous identity. She has established careers in communications, politics, and the music industry. Her commitment to culture and Indigenous ways of knowing and being ground both her work and lifestyle. She is a proud mother of four fantastic boys and partner to a proud Anishinaabe man. Together they are the founders of the Little Decolonial Library, a free little library established with an Indigenous lens.
Decolonizing Education is presented in partnership with the City of Toronto, the School of English as a Second Language at George Brown College, and North York Community House.
