Nina Jane Mayol\u2011Salapang\u2019s<\/strong> entrepreneurial journey is a powerful story of passion, culture, and perseverance coming together to build something meaningful.<\/p>\n

A graduate of the University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City with a degree in Business Management, Nina carried with her a deep connection to her roots and a desire to share the authentic flavours of home. Inspired by her brother \u2014 founder of Chorizo De Cebu\u2013Texas \u2014 she set out to bring the beloved taste of Cebuano chorizo to Canada.<\/p>\n

What began as a small home\u2011based venture has grown into Chorizo de Cebu Toronto, now a trusted supplier to local eateries across the city. But Nina\u2019s work is more than a food business. It is a cultural bridge \u2014 a way of bringing comfort, tradition, and community to Filipino families in Canada while supporting local restaurants and food entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Her mission is rooted in sharing authentic flavours and establishing her brand as the standard for high\u2011quality, affordable, locally made chorizo. Every step of her journey reflects her dedication to excellence and her commitment to supporting her community.<\/p>\n

This year, Nina\u2019s hard work and entrepreneurial spirit were recognized at the Tanyag na Pinay Gala, where she received the prestigious Entrepreneurship Excellence Award.<\/strong><\/em> This honour celebrates Filipina leaders who are making meaningful contributions in their fields \u2014 and Nina\u2019s impact is undeniable.<\/p>\n

NYCH is proud to have been part of Nina\u2019s early journey through our Self\u2011Employment and Entrepreneurship Program for Immigrant Women.
