Young people between the ages of 18 and 35 will make up the largest group of eligible voters in the coming 2019 federal election<\/a>\u00a0this October.<\/p>\n While generations of Canadians have been advised not to discuss politics in polite company, young people are no longer following this rule.<\/p>\n Research shows that young Canadians are more likely to discuss politics and the issues that concern them compared to their older counterparts. Discussing the impact of the elections on their daily lives, education, work, and their future with their friends and family not only motivated youth to vote but encouraged their peers as well.<\/p>\n
