This act lays the framework for the development of province-wide mandatory standards on accessibility in all areas of daily life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Accessibility standards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ontario now has accessibility standards in five areas:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">customer service<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">employment<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">information and communications<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">transportation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">design of public spaces<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NYCH is committed to train all employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf.<\/p>\n<p>At NYCH this training is to be completed by the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all full and part &#8211; time staff<\/li>\n<li>all volunteers and placement students<\/li>\n<li>Board members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please take some time to complete the AODA training and the Working Together: The Human Rights Code and the AODA by accessing links below.
