Civic Engagement Training

Join us for an intensive and hands-on Civic Engagement Training, providing basic knowledge and practical tools for participants to enhance their civic literacy, strengthen their leadership capacity, learn about local civic engagement opportunities, and practice planning and implementing a civic engagement project on an issue(s) of concern to them.

Topics explored:

• How the government works, how decisions are made, how to identify and connect with elected representatives and officials in prominent roles
• Elections and the electoral process in Canada
• The municipal budget and other local engagement opportunities
• Group practicum projects focused on issues of concern to the group!

Fridays, October 24 – December 12, 2025 | 11 AM – 1:30 PM | 255 Ranee Avenue, Suites 4 & 5

Please note, this program is intended for anyone 16 years or older, living anywhere in the city or GTA with an intermediate or higher English comprehension (i.e. level 4+).
