Celebrating Tanuj: Recognized with the Ontario Volunteer Service Award

Get to know Tanuj, who has been recognized with the Ontario Volunteer Service Award!

We’re thrilled to share that one of our dedicated volunteers, Tanuj, has been recognized with the Ontario Volunteer Service Award!

Each year, the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards celebrate the commitment and contributions of volunteers who make a lasting impact in their communities. The award recognizes individuals who dedicate their time, energy, and compassion to their community—and Tanuj embodies that spirit wholeheartedly.

Tanuj has been an active volunteer with North York Community House (NYCH) for four years, supporting our Homework Help Club which provides support to students ages 6 to 15 years old in English, French, math and science. In his reflection video, Tanuj shares what inspired him to begin volunteering with NYCH, what he’s learned along the way, and what this recognition means to him. His story is a reminder of how every volunteer—through their time and care—helps build a stronger, more connected community.

We’re deeply grateful for Tanuj’s ongoing dedication, and we’re proud to see his contributions recognized at the provincial level. Congratulations, Tanuj, on this well-deserved honour!
