Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Archi!

Get to know Archi, a steady and encouraging Homework Club Mentor at NYCH!

Archi has been a dedicated Homework Club Mentor with North York Community House since 2020, offering French tutoring to children ages 7 to 14. She first joined during the height of the pandemic and quickly became a consistent and encouraging presence. Week after week, Archi continues to support young learners with positivity, patience, and care!

Tell us a little about yourself!

I like reading and I love languages. I also like to travel and explore new places.

Why did you decide to volunteer with us?

I like working with children. I thought that it would be amazing to give back to the community using my language skills.

What has been the most meaningful part of your volunteer experience?

Helping kids and motivating them has been a meaningful part of my volunteering experience.

What’s something new you’ve learned while volunteering here at NYCH?

I have learned to enjoy little things and gotten more creative working with the kids and volunteering here at NYCH.

What’s next for you, and do you see yourself continuing to volunteer in the future?

I see myself volunteering in the future. It’s a great feeling to give back to the community.
